Baby Boy pages

Today I decided to take a break from December Daily and share some pages I made recently of my new baby boy, Landon, who is four months old.

This first one was made all with Basic Grey paper from different lines.  I rounded the corners of the striped paper with a corner rounder punch and used an EK Sucess border punch on the dark brown strip towards the bottom.  I used some courdoroy brads, American Crafts stickers (white), and Making Memories stickers (brown).  A little brown and white polka dot ribbon finished it off.  Very basic design and super simple.  I loved the results!

This page is my favorite so far.  I used the MME Alphabet Soup Boy line.  All of the embellishements (cards, brads, chipboard, and paper) are from that line.  The brown polka dot paper is Bo Bunny Double Dot in a dark brown.  I used a bit of ribbon to jazz it up, some more EK Sucess border punches, and a Silhouette print and cut title above.  I made my photo collage/birth details in photoshop and printed it all out on one 8-1/2 x 11 piece of photo paper.  Super simple!  Well that is it for today.  Hope everyone has a fantastic Christmas!

More December Daily

Today I have quite a few December Daily pages to share.  I have been having a blast getting caught up- I love working with mini albums!  Here is day 8.

I used my usual kraft cardstock and some green Bazzill for the base pages and some Canvas Corp patterned paper I got at Archivers.  The journaling page is from an old Making Memories notepad and the making a list sticker is also Making Memories.  I used a colorized action from Pioneer Woman here on my photos to make them look vintage, which I love, and better yet, they are free :)  The tag on the next page is just a shipping tag that I stamped a polka dot background from Unity Stamp Co in brown, added some stamped ornaments from a Stampin Up! set, some pom-pom trim, a few Making Memories stickers and it was done!

Day 9 I used some paper from Fancy Pants, both the green tree paper and striped paper.  It was double-sided and both sides were a great print.  Again, Bazzill kraft and some Stampin Up green paper for my base pages.  I  used more Shabby Chic Crafts tags/labels and day 9 was done.  Easy peasy!

Day 10 was done using some more Canvas Corp paper, Bazzill kraft, and Stampin Up red.  I wanted to put the recipe for the cupcakes on the page so I printed it out and cut it to 4 " x 4-1/2" and attached the three pages together with a glimmery red brad and they easily slide over so you can get the whole recipe on the page.  I put my journaling on the front side of the shipping tag and used some Divine Twine baker's twine to dress it up a bit.  The back side was the name of the recipe and I used some Cosmo Cricket tiny letter stickers for that.  I love these stickers because they are a great size and they have a ton of stickers on one sheet for $1.49!  You can't beat that!  I put some alcohol ink on the back side of the acrylic arrow to turn it green so it would stand out more.  On to day 11...

Super simple pages again.  I used some Bo Bunny printed paper and cut a circle out around the Santa.  The facing page is just a large picture of Aidan and Santa and a strip of striped Canvas Corp paper.  I used some a "visiting Santa" stamp from Unity Stamp Co and "Santa was here" also from Unity.   I made a little mini page of a get-together we went to because I wanted to add it but didn't need a whole page for what I needed to add.  The brown satin ribbon is from Stampin Up a few years ago, which is one of my favorite ribbons.  A little journaling and stitching and day 11 was complete!

So last Saturday I made some Ritz crackers with peanut butter dipped in almond bark and chocolate and I made a whole Ritz cracker box of them.  So here it is Wednesday and my husband and son have snarfed them all down, so as we speak I am melting the almond bark to start all over.  We will see how long they last this time!

December Daily- Days 1, 3 & 5

Well I have finally gotten to do a little more in my December Daily album.  I am very slowly getting caught up :)  Here are pics of day 1.

Pretty basic design.  I just used some old green and red polka dot paper out of my stash for the punched borders and some red cardstock and polka dot paper from Stampin Up and kraft cardstock from Bazzill.  I used a Hero Arts swirly background stamp to add a little interest on the kraft cardstock.  A few felt snowflakes from JoAnns, a number tag from Shabby Chic Crafts, and some Stampin Up ribbon and day 1 was complete!

For day 3, I used some striped paper from Fancy Pants and green cardstock from Stampin Up.  I used the Lacey Circle dies from Nestabilities, some Bo Bunny paper, some kraft cardstock, and a christmas tree border from Bazzill to do page one.  I stamped some christmas ornaments and the "Merry and Bright" from one of my favorite Unity Stamp Co stamp sets, added a little ribbon, some more Fancy Pants patterned paper, and a scalloped tag from Shabby Chic Crafts and day 3 was done!

Day 5 was another simple design.  Used some patterned paper from Basic Grey and Making Memories that I also had in my stash, cardstock from Stampin Up and Bazzill, a little ribbon, and a few more Shabby Chic Crafts labels/tags and day 5 was complete.  Back in a few days with more!

December Daily pages 2&4

So I am a little (or a lot!) behind on my December daily but I am hanging in there!  I am still taking pics every day and journaling quite a bit, so I guess I'm not really behind, right :)  I am going to share days 2 & 4 tonight and hopefully be back in a few days with days 1, 3, 5, & 6.  I am still putting the finishing touches on as I have been making my pages as I go- I didn't decide till nearly December 1 that I wanted to do this!  So here is day 2.

So, pretty basic with a few blocks of patterned paper and some stamping.  I put a photo overlay on the photos to give them a slightly aged/scratched look and then typed a title on top of the photo.  I used an EK Success border punch on the edges of my pages (Embossed Curve Edger Punch) and also as a decorative border behind the photo and on the page protector also (Double Embossed Dotted Lace Edger Punch).  The page protectors are a baseball card holder cut into thirds.  Works pretty handy as I love to use the smaller photos!  I used Tim Holtz Mini Holiday 2 stamps for the stamped pieces in the baseball card holders.  The date tags and scalloped tags are from Shabby Chic Crafts.  I then used a Marvy Uchida artisan label punch to add some tags at the top and bottom of my journaling page.  The number stamp is from a retired Stampin Up! set.  A stamped decorations word from an old Technique Tuesday Christmas set, and day 2 was done!

Here is day 4 and it has been one of my favorites so far.  I took the boys to mom's house and Aidan helped her put all the ornaments on the tree.  It was really fun reminiscing about my favorite ornaments and decorations!

I used some Basic Grey Jovial patterned paper and again the Double Embossed Dotted Lace Border punch. The cheer label is also from Shabby Chic Crafts along with the I'll Be Home for Christmas card.  I tied a bow around the page and called it good.  I printed small 2x3 pictures to put in the baseball card protectors of all my favorite ornaments at mom's.  The red envelope was sprayed with Hollyberry Glimmermist and I cut out the christmas title with my silhouette (love my silhouette!!).  I am going to put my journaling in the envelope.  The last page just has a photo of my most favorite decoration- mom's crazy haired angel.  For years she has tried to get us to let her put a different angel on the tree but it just wouldn't be the same!!  So there you have it, days 2 and 4.  Be back in a few days with more!

December Daily album cover- Finally!

Well, 8 days later than I had hoped, here it is- the cover of my December Daily album.

The cover is a We-R-Memory Keepers Cinch 8-1/2 x 11 piece of chipboard.  I used Claudine Hellmuth Sticky Back Canvas to cover the chipboard and that was sprayed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Hollyberry.  The felt snowflake stickers are from the dollar bin at JoAnn Fabric- super cute for $1.00 and tons and tons of snowflakes in blues and whites in the package- love JoAnns!  I stamped December on some Bo Bunny cream patterned paper with Stampin Up! Pear Pizzaz ink and Taffy alpha.  Daily is some old Making Memories red polka dot stickers I got a while ago at Archiver's- they are puffy and so adorable!  My 2010 was made using some white canvas Thicker stickers and sprayed them with Mistletoe Glimmer Mist.  The 2010 is on Stampin Up's Top Note label die, which is my absolute favorite die of all time!  I used a little christmasy striped fabric down the side and added a few red pearls from Kaisercraft to finish it off.  I'm pretty excited with how it turned out- the product of a late-night scrapping session while kids were sleeping and hubby was coon-hunting!

Also had to add this picture of my goofy 3-1/2-year-old, Aidan.  He was helping me with the lights to check and see if they were all working!  Gotta love him!  What a stinker!

Be back tomorrow with some finished December Daily pages!

December daily...

So, obviously I am a bit behind on my December Daily album :(  I have some of the base pages done, cover done, and am working on printing pictures.  Life + 2 little ones + housework = not much time!  I am trying to get caught up here this afternoon and hope to post some pics this evening of the cover at least :)  Later!

May your season sparkle...

So yesterday I realized that the holiday card swap that our stamping group does is this Sunday.  At first I wasn't going to participate but when I got my last Unity Stamp Co order, I had to whip up something with these awesome sets!  So this is what I came up with in 5 minutes.

The sets I used from Unity were Bright and Merry Winter Wishes, 25 Days, and the November 2010 Kit of the Month Picture Perfect.  I used Bazzill Kraft cardstock as my base and then stamped the ornaments from Merry Winter Wishes in Stampin Up Riding Hood Red, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, and Pear Pizzaz.  The patterned paper was from Bo Bunny Christmas line from 2009.  I just used the EK Success Bracket Edger punch on the brown patterned paper.  I finished it off with a few rhinestones and a little ribbon.  I just love Unity's  "May your season Sparkle with holiday bliss."  So excited to put my new stamps to good use :)
